BOB R&D

BOB R&D

BOB is a stretcher support without comparison starting with the process by which it is created. BOB is formed by extrusion, namely shaping the aluminium of the entire support in a single form which results is a seamless part.
Spencer has been created following a totally innovative path and the results are now ready for all to see: extrusion is the most effective procedure for materials such as aluminium that are difficult to shape and from which high performance is requested.
Once molded, the support undergoes an anodizing process to ensure additional strength, shine and scratch resistance.

Materials

Materials

In our opinion the most effective solution to ensure integrity, solidity and hygiene that are all essential medical requirements, is the adoption of materials of excellence. BOB is made entirely of aluminium and will not rust like a normal support made from steel and at the same time has superior mechanical and chemical resistance. With its honeycomb structure BOB supports shock and fatigue like no other platform has ever been able to do. The frame is made of stainless steel, synonym of greater efficacy in the strength-to-weight ratio and a longer life cycle.
The terminal elements in expanded polyurethane cover any internal parts with blunt ends and with their elastic properties, absorb shock and avoid possible injury to the operators during frenetic rescue operations.

Shape

Shape

One of the patents that characterizes BOB is its shape and more specifically the right hand profile. Despite the plantar area being increased by 33%, equal to 8 cm, the patient will be positioned no further from the operators. They will be able to assist the patient directly on the stretcher with their seat belt fastened and therefore the risk of injury, which normally is 5 times greater than that of other workers, is at last reduced. The second innovation is the release handle for sideways movement. Usually the handle has a specific position determined by the manufacturer which forces the operator to unlock the lever while moving the platform resulting in a high-profile muscle activation. BOB eliminates this amount of movement by allowing the operator to select the point from where he operates the sideways movement. The handle extends for a total of about 2500 mm on the 3 sides in contact with the rescuer increasing the sideways movement actioning surface area by approximately 800%.

Colours

Colours

BOB is characterized by a minimalist and essential design. It has a strong visual impact and you’ll fall in love at first sight. The colours that highlight the beauty of the design are the metallic grey of whole aluminium support; the black of the terminal parts and the band of red of the handle element. Three elegant and balanced colours that blend and harmonise perfectly with one another and with any possible choice of décor in the ambulance.
The colour scheme is even more accentuated when led bar is installed on BOB providing both the support and the whole environment with a new, effective and aesthetically modern luminosity.
