DISCOVER BOB

BOB breaks the rules and introduces a new concept of support for ambulance stretchers.
It’s the solution that emergency workers and organizers weren’t expecting. The result of years of research and investment. A creation of fashion and industrial design without equal. Simplistically you can call it a stretcher support but it’s actually much much more.

Superior right from the start

Superior right from the start

BOB is created through the extrusion process which up until today, for objects of this dimension, has only been used for the construction of carriages for the USA metro. For sure, once again, Spencer has decided to travel along a completely new road but now have no doubt in saying that the result justifies the choice and the investment.
The platform is seamless part; engineering excellence that allows immediate and effective sanitation to remove any possibility of cross-infections dangerous for both patients and rescuers.
BOB is manufactured entirely in aluminium and stainless steel:
the use of superior quality materials is the best way to guarantee a longer life compared to that of similar products and rusting is avoided. BOB is characterized by an innovative double foil honeycomb structure which makes it considerably lighter and more resistant than a traditional platform.

Shape creates space

Shape creates space

The most evident innovation of BOB is on the right hand profile.

  • Unique is its patented shape that draws a concave contour, creating space that previously didn’t exist in the ambulance. Rescuers can finally remain seated keeping their feet parallel and enjoy the benefits of a better posture.
  • The long red handle that triggers the sideways motion of the platform is simply a touch of genius with its design that seriously increases the area of the leverage surface. The operator now has the possibility to move BOB from anywhere inside the patient’s compartment.
  • Another important new feature is the LED light strip that directly lights up the enlarged walkway space and at the same time indirectly contributes to the increase in the brightness of the entire patient compartment which along with the shockproof, expanded polyurethane terminal elements, makes a huge contribution to a safer working environment.

Much more than a support

Much more than a support

The uniqueness of BOB is also inside. BOB, with its second patent, can be equipped with suction devices, oxygen distribution system and a 12V socket integrated directly in the main structure. Full support is guaranteed for the patient and maximum convenience for operators who will be able to work keeping their belts buckled up and free from patient tubes traditionally installed on the ceiling of the ambulance.

Technology on board

Technology on board

A risk that has to be prevented when the patient is unloaded from the ambulance is the stretcher’s legs failing to open caused by a reduced distance between the loading platform and the ground. This can be caused by incorrect calculation of the weight on board the vehicle, the presence of an operator in the ambulance, the terrain, uphill or downhill roads. Bob is able to detect the distance between the platform and the ground thanks to a patented sensor and based on the data it receives, it will self adjust to the ideal height, so the stretcher legs can always open up safely. At last the rescuers are able to focus solely on the patient. The led light on the chute contributes to make the operations safer with the unloading area and potential dangers now illuminated.

From ordinary to extraordinary

From ordinary to extraordinary

BOB is an ambitious, bold and unique creation because, in addition to exclusive innovations it presents, it enhances all the most advanced features that are today available on the market.

  • The hydro-pneumatic suspension automatically adjusts to the weight of the patient.
  • The platform can be moved electronically and locked at the minimum height for CPR procedures.
  • The support can be inclined on board the ambulance as well as during loading and unloading with automatic horizontal repositioning.
  • The console for movement control can be multiple and can be installed at any point on the ambulance’s floor and/or wall.
  • The space dedicated to the housing of immobilization systems (spinal board, vacuum mattress or scoop stretcher) has been equipped with an innovative system to ensure their stability.
